What does faith have to do with mental health? Can prayer actually change your brain? How can faith communities better promote mental and emotional well-being? Join us in the Carriage House after worship on April 26 from 11 a.m. to Noon to hear from Rev. Miriam Diephouse-McMillan. Miriam will share insights from her fourteen years as a chaplain at a state psychiatric hospital and highlight mental health research that affirms the value of faith and spiritual practices for our minds, bodies, and souls. If you need to zoom into this class, please contact Rev. Ridgley Beckett |

Youth and Adults are invited to join us in the Carriage House after worship at 11:00 a.m. to discuss what we believe! This year our Confirmands have charged the congregation to do what they've been working on for the past year but especially in the past month—what is it that you believe? About God? About the Holy Spirit? About Jesus? There are worksheets to guide you in the sanctuary and Fellowship Hall (these will also be in the weekly email every week!) Please come having worked through these worksheets and a rough draft of your statement of faith so we can share together what we believe as an intergenerational church family! |
