Super at St. John’s

Supper at St. John’s kicks off on Wednesday, September 27 and runs through November 15. Due to the work being done on the kitchen and Fellowship Hall, dinners will be held in the Carriage House until the renovations are completed. We begin at 6 p.m. with dinner. Since we will not have a kitchen, we will be serving foods like pizza, sandwiches, or casseroles for the first few weeks. Classes will start at 6:45 p.m., and conclude promptly at 8:00 p.m.

We are offering two 8-week classes from which to choose this fall. Look for sign-ups during coffee fellowship after worship, or contact Carla Chieffo. We encourage you to sign-up early so that we can order the right amount of food. Every participant will be asked to help with set-up, meal prep, or clean-up at least once during the session. Many hands make the work go faster, and provide fellowship opportunities with one another! Everyone is welcome to share dinner, even if you do not stay for a class.

This fall, we are offering the following classes:

This World and the Next: Exploring how different cultural and religious traditions understand death and the afterlife. (Moderated by Rev. Nicole Duran)

Luke – Jesus’ Circle of Friends: A Bible study looking at the people closest to Jesus in Luke’s gospel. What do we know about them, and what can we learn from them? (Moderated by Ted Behr form Wayne Presbyterian Church)

Classes will be held in the Kean Room and the Sanctuary.
