Youth Fellowship Update
The winter has been active, and so has youth fellowship! Our middle school and senior high groups have played many a game, learned a little bit about the Bible and each other, celebrated the Super Bowl with a pizza party and games, enjoyed a special Valentine's Day formal dinner, and the list goes on! If you have not gotten plugged into Youth fellowship yet but would like to, please contact Steph so we can find a way to get you involved! |
Mission Trip 2010 - Calais, Maine
June 27 - July 3, 2010
At the Mission Dinner on November 15, the site of our 2010 Mission Trip was revealed. Our Senior High youth will travel to the northeast corner of Maine to the town of Calais (rhymes with palace) on the St. Croix River across from Milltown, New Brunswick in Canada. According to the 2000 census, the per capita income for the city of about 3500 residents was $16,135. About 11.1% of families and 16.8% of the total population were below the poverty line, including 18.5% of those under age 18 and 19.6% of those age 65 or over.
Our youth and chaperones will be driving the 11 hours to the YouthWorks site in Calais and will spend their week engaging in a variety of service projects and spiritual growth. Sign ups have already begun. If you are interested in sharing in this great opportunity, contact Stephanie. Youth entering 9th grade in the fall of 2010 through high school seniors (graduating in 2010) are eligible, and chaperones are always welcome! |

Alleluia Children's Choir: Young Voices Sing to the Lord

There's nothing quite as sweet as children's crystal clear voices being raised in praise at Sunday worship. St. John's Alleluia Choir for children through grade 5 is a fun way for youngest members to participate in worship. We meet in the sanctuary at 10:50 am each Sunday. Please see Director Diane Legnini for more details. |
