Spiritual Companions
Wednesday, May 21, 7:30 pm

A circle of prayer and reflection. An oasis of quietness and stillness in a busy and noisy world. We arrive and find our place as quiet meditative music plays. We may reflect on a biblical passage, listening for its voice of comfort, guidance and wisdom. We pray together. But, Quaker-like, we let the Spirit lead the way. Please join us Wednesday, March 19, 7:30 pm.
Morning Prayer Breakfast
Thursday, May 15th at 7 am

Please join us for a meeting fo this new small group.
All are invited to meet in the Carriage House Thursday, May 15th at 7 am for prayer, discussion, and sharing. We will meet for approximately an hour; coffee, juice, and bagels will be provided. Contact Brian Bouvier with any questions.
Peace & Social Justice Meeting
Tuesday, May 13 from 7:30 pm to 9:00 pm

Please join the Peace & Justice group on Tuesday, May 13 from 7:30 to 9:00 pm in the Carriage House as we write letters to Congress in support of the 2008 Bread for the World Offering of Letters. This project enables individuals to see their concerns translated into policies that help hungry and poor people improve their lives. The focus of this year’s Offering of Letters is on more and better poverty-focused development assistance—funding for programs in the US budget that give people in poor countries the skills and opportunities to break the cycle of poverty permanently. While you are welcome to read in advance about the initiative at www.bread.org, we will be viewing a short DVD that evening and providing other educational materials.

Evening Study Group, Exodus: The Birth of a Nation
Thursdays, at 7:15 pm

Exodus, the second book of the Bible, tells the compelling story of God's steadfast, grace-filled parenthood of a new nation, Israel, from its birth out of hopeless slavery through the journey toward the promised land. Under Moses in the wilderness a ragged people become a political, military, religious and social force that ultimately will shape the western world. Due to the resounding success of SUPPER AT ST. JOHN'S and the Alpha Course, we will resume this study Thursday, April 10, 7:15 pm.
Inward Journey
Thursdays 10:00 - 11:30 am, Carriage House

For more than 13 years, this Bible/devotional study group has met in the Carriage House on Thursday mornings. We invite you to join us. Please contact the church office for the week's readings. You can join at any time.

Devon Horse Show Parking Extravaganza!

It’s that time of year again, when our usually quiet grounds are transformed into a hustling, bustling short-term parking lot for Devon Horse Show-goers. You are a vital part of this event which raises funds for St. John’s youth programs (our only fundraiser!). All youth must sign-up for 2 three-hour shifts. And, adults are vitally important to the success of this event. Please sign up today in Fellowship Hall or sign up online by clicking here to be sure you’re here for the time slot you want. (May 22 – May 31)

Sing With the St John's Choir!
Sundays, May 25 through June 8

Beginning on Sunday, May 25 the choir will gather on Sundays at 8:30 am for a short practice to sing that day’s anthem. We will be singing simple, easy to learn pieces which don’t require lots of rehearsal time. If you’ve ever wanted to sing with us, but can’t fit the Thursday rehearsal into your schedule, this is your chance! We’ve planned for 3 Sundays (May 25 through June 8), but will add more if singers (middle school age through adult) are willing.
