St John's Choirs
Chancel Choir

The Chancel Choir at St Johns Presbyterian is a talented group who love to sing to the glory of God each Sunday at the 9:30 a.m. worship service. Throughout the year, the choir sings music of many styles and genres and offers music for special services during Advent and Lent. Talented soloists and instrumentalists also enhance worship during the year. A major work, such as The Dubois Seven Last Words of Christ, performed on Palm Sunday, 2006, is also a part of the choir's repertoire each year. Wonderful fellowship, a shared commitment to praising God through glorious music, and a love of singing make being a part of this group a cherished experience.
The Chancel Choir rehearses on Thursday evenings from 7:45 - 9:00 p.m.
Visitors are always welcome!
Handbell Choirs

Currently there are four handbell choirs at St. John's. We ring three octaves of Shulmerich bells, as well as three octaves of handchimes. We have an adult choir, a Senior High choir, and a Middle School choir, and now a 5th and 6th grade choir. Rehearsals begin in September and typically end in May. Knowledge of music is helpful, but not necessary to participate.

The Devon Chapel Bells (the Adult Handbell Choir) rehearses on Thursday evenings from 6:30 to 7:45. We ring six or seven times a year at the regular Sunday morning service. Currently there are eleven women who make up this choir.

The Rejoicing Ringers (the Senior High Choir) is made up of students in 10th, 11th and 12th grades. They rehearse on Sundays from 11:00 to 12:00, right after the church service. They usually ring five times a year, alternating with the adult handbell choir.

The Angel Bells (the Middle School Choir) is made up of students in 7th, 8th and 9th grades. They rehearse on Sunday afternoons from 3:30 to 4:30, right before Youth Fellowship. They, too, ring about five times a year.

The Jingle Bells
is our newest handbell choir made up of students in 5th and 6th grades. They rehearse on Sunday evenings from 6:00 to 6:45. For this their inaugural year, we expect them to ring three or four times.
