The third annual Devon Builders' Competition started on Monday March 23, 2009 and continued through Friday March 27. Five teams of builders each framed a complete house based on a common plan. In prior years the framed out homes were sent to the Katrina devastated Gulf Coast. This year the project had a more local focus with the framed homes being delivered to HFH lots in Philadelphia and New Castle Delaware. The framed homes will then be built out by HFH volunteers at those locations.

The teams that participated in 2009 were:

The Weaver Company, last year's winners, have pledged their twelve man team to give a day at a Habitat for Humanity site to help build-out the framing packages produced by the competition.

All teams participated in good Christian fun with the winner receiving the Devon Builders Cup.
